How to Block Someone on Gmail
Most people like Gmail, or at least use the service, but not perfect. You can not prevent people with a single click, unlike Facebook. If you have just received too many emails from a website, it is best to shop unsubscribe link in the email to stop these emails.
If you are sure you are finished with messages from this email address, you can set a filter to remove the post on its way to your inbox with the following steps:
1. Open Gmail> login> click the small down arrow (next to the blue search button) in the search bar at the top.
2. In the field, enter the e-mail address that you want to block. You can type a specific email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) or an entire domain (@ abc.com)> click Create Filter to this search> click Remove> click Create Filter. This will send emails directly to the trash. You will not receive notification for these emails and will always be deleted 30 days later.
3. If you have an open offensive email, you can click the down arrow next to the answer button at the top right of the message> Filter messages like this. Follow the instructions in the previous step.
Gmail does not offer a way to leave e-mails sent to your email address, so if you want to block e-mails from certain addresses, the above method is your best choice.
