Changing Twitter Name
If you have decided that your Twitter username is not quite right, here it is how to change it and make sure you do not lose followers along the way.
If you just jump and change your Twitter username, of course, there is the risk that people will not be able to find, just think of all the online references to your old account. You can create a new account in place, but it would mean the creation of a list of followers from scratch.
I recommend keeping your old username as “next page” to your new account, but to the new account with zero followers. Behold how
Create a new Twitter account with a second e-mail address. Be sure to choose the user name you want to use long term.
Enter your old account and temporarily change the username to something different. Chief edit profile section of your account and simply add a few random letters at the end of your existing username.
Enter your new account and change the username to the name that remained free until he used for his first account.
Back in the “old” account and change the user name for which he used in the first step.
Then you can change the profile of text associated with the username above it serves a page forward you a new account, maybe even send a tweet between accounts for anyone in search of his old name user is new addresses.
