I get asked all the time how I am able to come constantly ideas for new blog entries. And it is true that my mind is typically a swirling chaos of thoughts and ideas, get as many ideas you, readers! I get emails every day from readers who have questions about issues that normally appear about here on the blog, such as essential oils, cosmetics homemade, DIYs, and so on. Today’s post is no different!

There is some time I get a lot of readers of emails asking how different solving a particularly thorny problem Laundry – remove ink stains feared. Although I have witnessed many inkblots in recent years (thanks to a husband who tend to forget to check his pockets before putting things in the wash), I had always assumed that the inkblots were there to always . But after receiving several of these drives emails wondering how to get ink clothes, I was determined to find, even if I had to sacrifice towels in the process.

What I found out it is not only possible to remove ink stains, but it is actually very easy, too! But they will not tell people that part, right? It is more fun than just nodded wisely friends and family, and say, “Yes, I am really a magician laundry.”

How to Remove Ink Clothing

So here’s the big secret to remove ink stains from clothes – which is alcohol. Simple enough, right? I decided to test two alcohol-based products for my inkblot tests on the basis of my research: non-aerosol hair spray, and good old hand sanitizer. Both products contain alcohol, ethanol if you want to be precise, which acts as a powerful solvent. (Maybe you can remember a recent post on removing paint spots where hand sanitizer was also our secret weapon? I think I’ll leave a bottle in my laundry closet now.) 🙂

Armed with my bottles of spray and hand sanitizer, I set up the following incredibly scientific evidence. 😉 I cut a cloth bag of flour in a couple of different parts, and written in one of my two favorite roller pens gel.

Then apply solvents, spray hairspray liberally in one spot until it is completely saturated, and massage the hand sanitizer other.

Let the product penetrate stains for about 10 minutes and then thrown in the wash in a regular wash cycle. No muss no problem.

When I pulled my ink-stained rags on the puck, which was quite clean. Not even a hint that remained of the pen scrawl that had once been treated. True, they were relatively soft ink stains, but I am sure that the process might work similarly for even the biggest, toughest stains. (For a great spot, probably it leaves the spray or hand sanitizer dip in the longest frame, then soak the garment in warm water for an hour or two before washing.)
