Preparing For Test Quickly

How to prepare for the tests can count nearly as much as how to take tests. Sometimes more account. That’s because in most cases, the teacher is actually hoping that you have thought about the answers before the test, not only when you get your test paper. Since there are so many different types of tests as there are teachers, what is the best way to prepare? Here are dozens of our baker tips for preparing excellent tests:

1. Then extends. Make sure you divide your time studying over several days instead of leaving everything for the night before. If you try to learn everything at once, you could find yourself in the same position as the Burmese python in Florida who tried to swallow a whole crocodile. The result is not so nice (either for python or crocodile).

2. Study of the test, not for the course. Many students think that study time is “go around the course” time. It is not. There is no way you will be able to learn the value of matter 15 (or 25 or even 45) conference ‘in a week. Instead, resolve to focus only on those points that you think will be on the test. And stick to their resolution.

3. Scope out of reach. Make sure you know what is a fair game for the test and what not. Many times students are not exactly sure which lectures, readings, sections, and homework should be covered in the test. (The test includes material that was in the last test? The latest conference is included? Are we responsible for that section is discussed in the section?) Can not study effectively if you do not know what is supposed to To be studying.

4. Find out the format. There are many types of questions your teacher might ask multiple choice, short answer, essay, problem solving. Make sure you know which is your favorite type of question. See sample exam, study guide, program, or instructions in class or section to find out. And if you are unsure, text or email to a friend in class (which is unlikely that your teacher will be answering your questions in the middle of the night).

5. Line up the ducks. Before starting the study, make sure you have a complete set of lecture notes (tuning it would not hurt, either) and all the problems, exercises and tests you have taken. It is difficult to study well if you’re missing essential parts.

Additional pointer. If you are going to borrow notes from a friend for a conference he has been lost, choose an intelligent friend, not just a Facebook friend. So, it really gets behind the eight ball if you get the notes from someone who just attention in class and then the big question in the medium term lends is on the same conference.

6. Remember this. In some courses in language, history, mathematics, science, and some, for example, there are plenty of things to be memorized. To do this, first. Memorize better while still at least half awake. And a sense of relief and well-being will feel when it has achieved the tedious work out of the way.

Additional pointer. Use mnemonic devices or acronyms (ie, words formed from the initial letters of the things that can be memorized). That they are as smart or as dirty as possible; they are easier to remember that way. And then sing out loud while making faces and waving his arms-reality. You will recall their silly songs and movements.

7. Capture concepts. In many courses, the real work of studying is to get your mind around the key concepts and central ideas of the course. This is not just memorize some code words (as in the previous tip), but understand the main points clearly enough to be able to explain to someone who does not know. Tip: Locate the three or four main concepts of the teacher was trying to teach, and think how each can be explained in sufficient detail to convey a real understanding of the idea.

8. Go to the score. Allocate your time studying in proportion to the test points. It’s short ID penalty only 15 percent? Spend about 20 minutes preparation. Testing on account 80 percent? Spend 110 percent of the time on them. You have the idea.

9. Never read. Reading assignment, or if you’ve been good, re-reading the material is not an effective way to study. It takes too long. Instead, scan your reading notes or, if not have these data, the study of lecture notes. Your prof probably marked the main points.

10. Milk a friend. In many cases, it is good to invite a friend to your “study group”, ie find a more intelligent than your friend, who may be asked to explain things you do not understand. Just make sure you’re picking on the basis of intelligence.

11. Conspiring with prof. If the teacher or TA is having a review session, this is a godsend. Be sure to go equipped with a lot of questions about what they think will be on the test. Otherwise, try special office hours the day before the test or their own individual meetings during office hours.

12. test drive test. The last stage of his study should always include a little practice, “self”, in which some questions were constructed in the format expected to be on the test, then formulate some answers. You may be tempted to skip this step, but it does not. In a test it helps start thinking like his teacher and process the material in the way you have to do in the actual exam. Think of it as a warm up for your brain.

4-Star Tip. Be sure to check-test and evaluate its performance-take-as you go. If you find that you are spending too much time on any one question, or spend too much time thinking instead of writing, or get so tensed up that can hardly think clearly, make a mental note. When you have completed your trial period, think of strategies to avoid falling into the same traps when the real test is taken.

13. Throw a “half the night.” Calculate how many hours there at night, and then spend half that number cramming. Try to sleep the other half.

perspective teachers. Most teachers grade how well both express their ideas about how much you know. So if you’ve been up to 5am data channel in both the head as possible, you will not be able to think and write clearly when the test is taken at 8:30 am That’s where the dream comes in .
